An extraordinary opportunity for an experienced claims professional with an entrepreneurial mindset

CED Cross Border Claims, one of Europe's leading international claims handling organizations, is looking for an experienced claims professional who is ready for the next step in their career. As our current Country Manager in Austria will retire, we are seeking a talent with an ambition to grow with us (you will grow into the role of Country Manager). This is a unique opportunity to combine operational expertise with business development and leadership responsibilities in an international environment. You will lead the CED Cross Border Claims activities in Vienna (TPA-services to insurance companies throughout Europe) within a small team and you will represent us in the Austrian market.

Your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality and reliable claims handling services to our clients. You understand that knowledge, good communication and reliability are essential in building long-term client relationships. You have a solid understanding of the insurance industry and experience in handling MTPL claims, preferably also in international claims. In addition, you are entrepreneurial and will always seize an opportunity to expand our activities. You will become the main contact for our clients, legal specialists and the Austrian Motor Insurance Bureau. You will work closely with our country managers across 14 European offices and with trusted partner organizations in 27 additional countries.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing complex national and international motor claims (including Green Card and 4th Motor Directive claims);
• Maintaining and expanding client relationships;
• Identifying and developing commercial opportunities;
• Preparing for a future leadership role as Country Manager.
• Thus be responsible for the results (commercial, operational and financial) of the Austrian CED office.

• Several years of experience as a Senior Claims Handler, Claims Specialist or Claims Manager;
• Knowledge of MTPL claims handling;
• Experience with international claims handling is not necessary but always good;
• Professional communication in German and English;
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
• An entrepreneurial, proactive and ambitious mindset;
• The willingness to become the “gewerberechtlicher Geschäftsführer” and obtain the required “Gewerbeschein”.

This role offers a clear development path towards becoming Country Manager Austria. To prepare for this responsibility, we expect you to rapidly evolve yourself within the organization and obtain the required ‘'Gewerbeschein'' in the Wirtschaftskammer. You are eager to learn, demonstrate leadership potential and operate according to high professional and ethical standards.
